Kim Delaney was an American actress from America. The actress is best known for her role as Detective Diane Russell, in the ABC drama series NYPD Blue. For this she won an Emmy Award. Her roles are All My Children Philly CSI: Miami & Army Wives. Delaney, the only child of a United Auto Workers senior executive and a domestic worker, was raised by four siblings. When she was a kid, Delaney dreamed of being a court reporter. Her modeling career began in highschool and eventually gained commercial roles when she moved from the south of England to New York. As a teenager the first time she appeared as an actor was on the soap opera of 1980 All My Children. Delaney has appeared in a variety of TV movies, film and dramatics since then. The way she lives her life, unlike her professional life hasn't had a happy and successful. In the past, this talented actress struggled to overcome alcoholism and had two marriages that failed. Her custody was taken away from her son in 2005.
